    Default My trip to Chicago

The past 6 months have been rough on the home front so decided to treat myself to some quality spots for Christmas. Miranda was great to visit with and her entire propery is amazing. Ducks, chickens, koi pond, duck pond, beautiful greenhouse and fishroom all in the city of Chicago. I left with these beauties. Hopefully they will become part of a breeding program in the near future...

Beautiful fish, Brian! Depending on which way you drove to Chicago you might have driven right past where I live (Eastern Iowa, about 2.5 hours straight west of Chicago). I have no idea where you live so if you came from the south or east you wouldn't have.

They look like they'll make beautiful babies whenever that happens!

I'm in the Kansas City area. I think we took I-35 to I-80 east. All I remember is my white knuckles on the steering wheel looking at all those icy roads and accidents in sub zero temps. The drive home was much nicer!

We're about 30 miles north of I-80, so yeah you did pass pretty close!
I didn't even think about the weather... yeah you picked a heck of a time to swing through!
50 mph winds, blowing snow... windchills down to -35. Glad you made the trip safely!

Beautiful fish Brian and so worth the drive, white knuckles and all. Looking forward to seeing what you do with them.

I'm happy for you, Brian. They're stunning. And yes, their place right there in the middle of the city it beyond words.

Breeding them was the plan from the beginning. Shipping is another story but I may. They would have to be small before quality is proven, although I expect these to be some quality LSS's and Leopards...
