Finally, the time has come. I’ve done months worth of research and thanks to everyone here that provided me advice. The tank is setup…60x45x45cm (works out to about 32 gallons), bare bottom. 10 2.5” (6cm) babies are coming tomorrow. Upon the advice of the shop, I will start with 28c and after they are in the tank, bring it up to 30c.
Got my Stability and Prime ready to go. Will be doing 75% or more water changes every day. So pumped!
Keep us updated on how things progress. Best of luck to you.

Good luck!! Where did you get your discus from?
Should go well! Keep us posted, it's fun watching them grow up.
Fish came yesterday afternoon. All arrived bagged separately, alive, and looking healthy. Obviously, a little stressed. Fed them a little mysis shrimp about 4 hours after arrival, which they did eat after a little while.
20 hours later, fed a little blood worms, which they ate quickly. Did my first water change already. About 90%, according to the red mark in the pic. Seems they’re getting slightly more comfortable. They didn’t freak out when I did the water change. 👍🏻 Upped temp to 86* (30C). So far, so good.
Discus looking good! Keep up the good work!
Good luck! Rinse, aaaaand repeat
Day 9 — everything going well. All are eating vigorously…anything I put in the tank. They’ve calmed down quite a bit. Changing 90-95% water every day since day 2. Ammonia hasn’t gone above .5mg
Threw some swords and crypts in there for comfort and see if it helps with ammonia. They were picking at the crypts and actually killed one.
Can’t wait to start seeing some blue on the brilliants and scorpions
Mine are... or were... plant torturers as well. They're looking quite nice! With those water changes and gobs of food they'll be growing like weeds in no time.
