Great photography.
Doesn't seem to be much posting of pics here lately... here a few from my absent time here. My camera was my sanity during the pandemic.

I've missed seeing the photographs. Pat hasn't posted anything in a long time, either. I may not comment on every post, but I do enjoy looking at them. You and Pat are both excellent photographers.
The Cedar Wax Wing is my favorite bird. They don't stay here. They come in in droves and pick my 3 holly trees bare this time of year. I always keep my eye out for them. Every year is different. Sometimes it's as early as mid December. Sometimes as late as the end of February. They haven't showed up yet this year.
My biggest and finest holly tree is right outside my office double window. My second best is right outside the tripple window of the room that started out as a dining room, changed into the grooming room, and has become my work room. It's hard for me to miss the swarm of them when they come in.
The bagel bandit is adorable in addition to being an execellent composition.
The pic of the young blue jay at "lift off" is one in a million. Pretty pattern on that bird, too.

Beautiful pics, Al!
Liz, it's been pretty unseasonably warm up here in the great white north. If it keeps up I wonder if they'll ever make it down there!
You almost broke my heart, Jacob. I will have faith that they'll visit me.
Mama Bear
Still PLENTY of winter left up here, though I will say that I wouldn't mind if the weather doesn't push them down and instead they just visit because they like you.
Thanks Francis, Jacob and Liz! Glad you liked them.
Its been a mild winter here as well. I normally see the waxwings during the fall migration and winter, stripping berries like they do to your trees Liz. Everyonce in a while we get a flock come thru. I know they generally breed more north of me here and I have seen pairs as far as Quebec... Ironically during the pandemic I spent alot more time birding my yard during lock down. and wouldn't you know it I have a pair nesting in my woods. 2 years in a row,
