    Default new tank setup

Hey guys i need to seperate my discus couple..they are really territorial since they became a couple..they currently are in a community tank.

i want to get like a 30g. but since the will probably keep there fry now in a new tank, should i setup like a regular tank? i usually put stratum and plants...

or i leave just empty? maybe put some plants in a pot. and a cone or branch for the eggs...

thinking more sponge filter? and what temp should i have it? i know my current tank is always at 79 to 80. and the fish love it..

    thx

I would get a 40g breeder with sponge filter. Bare bottom.

Do you want to keep the eggs? If you’re not breeding them why not set up a second community tank and scape it?
