Thanks Al and this was the first time for me to photograph a launch. It took three attempts to get the launch and I shoot with two cameras. One mounted on tripod with a wide angle lens and a remote shutter release with a four minute open shutter. The other camera with a long lens handheld to get the rocket lifting off. That same night I took a photo of the moon because I wanted to create my version of the event. I also had a star field from shooting the milkway. So I added the moon and the star field to one of the liftoff images.

Absolutely incredible images you took Pat. Ever since SpaceX had their first manned launch to the ISS, I've been following space a lot more. Turns out my friend's brother was part of the Artemis 1 team - I met him over the winter holidays and it was fascinating talking to him.
Thank you Jake I grew up on the space coast and saw many launches as a kid. My dad worked on many space based projects so it's sort of in the family. I cried when the Challenger blew up, I couldn't believe it. When the Columbia blew up we learned that the commander of the mission Rick Husband, was my husband's second cousin.
