Default My Discus trip to Japan

    KakaoTalk_20230103_124915001.jpg

I've been visited Japan to meet some of the greatest breeders in there.
Because of pandemic, my last visit was in early 2020 but i'll visit Tokyo for 3 days in the end of next week.

Here is some photo from my trip to B-HOUSE, Hiroshima Japan in 2019.

The owner of this shop, Mr. Kuratsu Masatoshi (the man on a purple shirts) is one of the greatest breeder in Japan specialized on his wild-based red strains.

His North-alenqure based strain "Kougetsu" - 紅月
It's name is stads for "Red moon" which is very well match with their looking.

Another North-alenqure based strain "Shiugetsu" - 朱月
This is kind of ancester form of Kougetsu, He develope Kougetsu from Shiugestu.

There was another strain named "Cuipeua real" but it didn't maintained anymore sadly.
Shiugetsu was developed from "Cuipeua Real" and "Cuipeua Real" was developed from Wild Cuipeua that collected by W.B.Sabby.

Whole process to develope Kougetsu from Wild cuipeua took more than 20 years.

His fish was the reason why i choose to keep and breed wild discus from Cuipeua regions.

His West-South Alenqure based strain "Benisuzume" - I don't know how to write it on Japanese
This one was based on Wild Jatapu, Wild Carananzal and His other works and it's certainly impressive how big and round they are with good colors.
They are still bit young adults and their color keep coming out.

His breeding pair (I believe it's Kougetsu or Shiugetsu)

Some other "Better" photo of his strain.
This photos are belong to Facebook of Mr. Ashida Masahiro who is also a great breeder of Blue discus strains in Japan and owner of Discus shop named "Aquameister".

I also visited him several times and I'll share that photo too later.

I visited Aquameister in Tokyo, Japan this time.

They are one of the best Discus-Pro shop than sale their own developed bloodlines for last 30 years.
Their main item is German Cobalt blue based strains but now they have some more projects to develope new blue and red strains.

    Their own-developed Cobalt-Blue strains.
They have 4 main strains of Cobalt-Blue developed with different purpose for each strains.
(I believe 3 are german coblat base and 1 are Jack-Watly's 3rd strain)

This is my Wild F1 i bred and sent to him when it was 5~6cm, And they grow up beautifully in the master's hand.
