    Default Leaping Leo

About 3 years ago we got an orange tabby named Leo. He is a great people cat... greets visitors, friendly..just a real good natured cat. From Day one though Leo had issues with staying grounded. .. he is a mountain lion masquerading as a house cat. As a kitten he climbed everything.. scaled curtains like nothing. We built him climbing stations etc.. they were never high enough. He is an indoor cat but if he wasnt he would be at the top of the tallest tree..

Thats typical for kittens and most outgrow it.. Leo isnt one of them..

And he likes fishing too much.

But hes an endearing little fellow.

The orange tabby's always seem to be the most friendly. Black cats are next but they're more selective. My cat is a calico tabby and like most of her color are pretty standoffish. She's an inside/outside cat and generally prefers to be outside. But when it's cold or rainy she stays in and sometimes even sleeps in the bed with me which is always a great treat for me. Thank God, she does her athletic feats outside catching mice. Does Leo not knock over all the pretty ceramic stuff off the top of the tank? I can't imagine what he would to to a Christmas tree.

Leo is generally pretty light footed and most of the time he doesnt disturb anything.. at least until he wants to make something move. Christmas trees are a tough one.. its not unusual for ornaments to mysteriously end up on the floor. We just put the good ones up high or really secure... He hasnt tried climbing it that we know if but I would not doubt he does.

Most of the time he stays out of trouble.. his big brother keeps him Busy.. . DANTE is going on 6 , a bit more mellow than leo.. not much of a climber except the tables.

More Leo shots.. This is just after he successfully hunted 2 axolotls from my tanks this morning. Little stinker figured out how to move a brick off one tank and literally undo the latch and on another one.

I Swear there are times when I am at my computer desk working and I feel some kind of supernatural force is watching me.Not in an evil malicious way.. but more in a mischievious playful manner.

    Probably just my imagination.
