    Hey Pat,

    Thought you appreciate this Horned Grebe. (Podiceps auritus) I saw yesterday. Kind of a Rare one for us in CT, Sometimes run into one in the winter on the coast.

    Very much Al and got to love that red eye. Now I have a photo for you and please, don't faint.

    This is the second time seeing one of these guys in the wild and my first time photographing one. It was pretty far away so not great detail. I went to Joe Overstreet and there it was, hanging with the sandhill cranes.

    I haven't Al but I understand it's name is Grasshopper and there is some online history about him but nothing recent. I will report it and see what happens.

    Hi Steve, not sure if you are talking to me or Al. The bird in the photo I posted is a Whooping Crane, a pretty rare bird with low population here in the US. Al posted a Horned Grebe.
