    Default Chicken Meat

    Hey Everyone,

What are good parts of chicken to feed our fish? Breast, Heart or Liver?
Do you feed raw or cooked?

    Thanks!

I fed 90% fat free turkey breast. It's important to know the fat content.

Due to the way in which they are slaughtered, raw chicken has an extremely high bacterial count. Processing raw chicken will contaminate the prep area with Salmonella and other nasty bugs. You'll do better with cooked chicken. But if you want low fat content, turkey is far more lean - like Liz suggested. In my experience, discus do not enjoy poultry as much as beef. In fact, they favor beef over pollock or other common feeder fish.
At my age, everything is irritating.
