In my experience, green herons could also be called duck hunters' bane. There's nothing that looks quite like a surprise wood duck encounter than a green heron zipping through the decoys. They'll usually got me grabbing the gun when I duck hunted.
Wow, what a stunning capture! The early morning light adds such a magical touch to the scene. The Green Heron looks so graceful, and it's fascinating that it caught either a shrimp or a small fish.
