Hi Al, I view the forum for both a laptop and on the phone. In both cases I prefer the "full site" view.
Pat
Im curious as to how people are physically using the forum.
Do you use it on a smart phone, tablet, laptop/pc?
If you use it on a mobile device do you view it using our mobile software or do you use the "full site" view which basically looks like the lap/pc view but on your smartphone/tablet?
Everyone has a preference. For me, I don't particularly like the mobile view. I use the "full site" desktop view on my smartphone and tablet. Probably because thats how I started using the forum on my desktop years ago.I just find it more natural and I like the layout and being able to see everything.
Its important though that we understand how you all are using the forum and if there are things you really like about the software or really dont like.
I hope I can count on you for some input here.. I'd hate to make changes that impacted members negatively.
Thank you!
AL

Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
Laptop. I only use the phone when I have no other choice, and use the full view.

Same as Liz & Pat. Laptop, and if necessary, phone in full view.
Phone (in mobile view) and PC. But I flip back/forth between full view on my phone because it doesn't always display pictures. Then I flip it back to mobile, but full view doesn't look significantly different, really.
Laptop always as I am a ruggedized flip phone user.
I use desktop, laptop, and mobile phone for the most part. For everyday use, it's typically on a laptop/desktop.
Occasional use on mobile phone, but I find the "mobile" site a little poorly optimized for modern smart phones, such as interface and content scaling as well as some forum features working or not working depending on how I'm using it (such as the mobile version having issues displaying images).
I’m using the site on the iPad and iPhone in full view. The mobile view is just strange.
Something that would be a nice upgrade would be to be able to acknowledge a post. Like it. Sometimes you have nothing to add or say but this at least lets the poster know it was read.
Next is on the pm side could you make it easier to add pictures? And let the pm run like a thread. If you don’t start a new message the original starts coming out vertically one letter at a time.
I like a big screen with all the content exposed so I don't have to scroll and search so I use a desktop/PC. I use mobile phone when necessary in full site, but avoid it.

Most of the time using the iPad .

I use my laptop and that would be hard to change because I only use my phone for email and phone calls. Now if I had a tablet, that may be different. I just like a large screen...
I do know people who use phones only and don't even have a PC...
PC and phone using the mobile. Too much bouncing back and forth, expanding and contracting for full site on my phone.
Mainly on a desktop, sometimes on a Kindle Fire, and soemtimes on my Android phone.

Desktop and Laptop with docking station and larger screen unless in FL or TX , so kinda 2 desktops most of the time. Never phone, yuck.
Amazon fire 10" tablet very cheap on Prime Day.
