    I remember when I raised wild scalare and had them in a planted tank. Snails were an issue initially but over timethe snail numbers dropped fairly quick with the scalare added.. I swear I could hear them."crunch" through the glass as they crushed the snails .then mouth and spit them a few times as they fell off the leaves and tank walls.

    I have a problem with MTS in my pleco tanks. It's my own fault. I know I overfeed. Until the assassin snails get to work on them, I pick them out and toss them on the concrete floor of my fishroom. Sometimes I see a bunch on the glass and I net them and toss them on the floor. I love to hear them go crunch under my feet. Sometimes my little dog Stubby gets to them first. He thinks they're delicious.

    Thats been done... One of our previous mods (matt) did a video of eating my FDBW.. I have probably had them in my coffee or beer from time to time while feeding in the fishroom.
