Jim, i agree with Toms last post. I also have one additional thought for you.. does the 110 have a rim? I have had a few cases where I had so much flow in a tank it pushed food up along the rim line out of sight... where it.rots... If the tank has a rim with blind spots run a paper towel along it and see if you pick up anything decaying.

If the odor is in the sand and making the water smell the filters will smell. Unless you add carbon. That does remove odor. But if you’ve got to empty the tank I’ve got a 50 I can lend you.
i am using purigen instead of carbon. i have it in the AC110, so i can change it out easier. i have a 46 gallon tank in my basement, if need to empty the tank. thanks for the offer of your. i just removed 1/3 of the sand. i am hoping it have it all out by the weekend. i will then do a filter clean, hopefully, any residual odor, if it came from the sand, will dissipate soon enough. thanks for all your help.
