Default Six F2 Batata Discus coming my way

So I just ordered six 2.5 inch Batata F2 Discus from Discus Hans tonight (state tax return arrived).

So I will post pics when I get them acclimated.

Tank has a large Manzanita Stump, some Spider wood, and some dwarf cichlid caves.

Now to see if I can build a corner overflow out of Plexiglass that uses clips to secure to the right corner of the 75 gallon tank (just to cut even more current and keep the flow).

Good choice of fish..I have 6 that are about 5 inches and after a few weeks have already laid eggs twice. Colors are great, they took to food right away and I’m enjoying so far. May add 3 more to my group in my 90 gallon.

Those are sooooo pretty! That is like the perfect Discus color imo. I love the brighter but still closer to wild look. It is kind of crazy it seems in the past 15 years all the wilds have been renamed. When I was last in the game there were just wild browns, blues, and heckles. Seems like a bit has changed in the captive strains as well.

These will go in my 75 gallon with some dither fish (rummy nose, cardinal, hatchet tetras), and my five Abatabapo Altum Angels.

Let them settle in some. All have good erect fins which is a good sign, but they are hiding behind a prefilter

When they settle in we will be here. Looking forward to pics. CONGRATS on the new fish. I always love that feeling of openning the box and tanking them...it never gets old!

They have started exploring the tank and are eating (probably baby pond snails)

They also are showing some color in their faces and fins

I don't expect much color for now as they are still juvenile at 2.5 inches diameter
