    Default Wilds?

I have never kept wilds. Saw these at a fish store and they seemed pretty stressed. They told me they were treating with prazi and metro, empirically. They were feeding frozen blood worms and they didn’t eat well. Is this how wilds come in typically?

Stressed, yes as they needed to be kept in the dark for a few days

However they are eating and they aren't clamping their find which is a good sign

Those are Heckels and they actually look good for Heckels. The bright light will wash their color. Note that they are eating with erect fins and even showing reverse bars. What makes you feel they are stressed?

I think they look pretty nice and active. They're eating good and not showing stress bars.

They look nice in the picture. I see similar Heckled at the wholesalers they always look faded in color compare to the turquoise Discus.

Yea I’ve been seeing them pop up at Monster in Queens, and a few places in Long Island. From my understanding and what I’ve heard is that Heckels need higher temps ams are a relatively harder fish to keep than your average wild green or blue Discus. The blues heckles that I’ve seen look nothing like the beautiful fish I’ve seen pics of from fish keepers that have kept them in their aquariums.

I wish those heckels were near me. Love them The blue faced heckels and blue moon heckles are a different strain and from a different location than these.
