New fish white spot? Fungus?
There are 2 white spots on this new fish. Is this fungus? I did a water change yesterday and added epson salt to the tank. Is this ich? Ideas and how to treat! I have a photo. Not sure how to add.

Epson salt will do nothing for either. Likely not ich if you only see two spots that look like a grain of salt or sand. Might not even be fungus. Could just be a just a pimple caused by bacteria that discus sometimes get when WC's are not enough. We need a picture.

It's not ich. Looks more like a pimple. What are your WC's and deep vacuuming the substrate routine?

I just fed them and he isn’t eating. Seems to be staying towards bottom and find partially clamping.

What about the substrate? Tank size and fish?

Hi,
Can you post a pic of the other side of the fish. Those are infected pores.. think of it like a pimple as Mervin said. When they get that infected one of two things usually happen, they rupture and leave an open hole that can heal in time .The other is they can become a bad abscess and then systemic.
From what I can see I think netting the fish and swabbing the area with hydrogen peroxide may help open it up. Its not a good sign if the fish has lost appetite. You may need an antibiotic if the swabbing doesnt help.
Its not difficult to do this but try to avoid the eyes and gills. Have everything laid out ahead of time.
Hth,
Al

This is the other side. He’s leaning a lot and I’m worried he is dying. I just don’t know what to do next. Checked all water tests and all are good. Help!

So, in 3 months the substrate hasn't been deep cleaned. Is that correct? Should been done at once a week or every WC if possible, especially if the discus are under about 8 months old. A planted tank for raising young discus is more of a challenge for sure. Is there some way your can age your water and do larger WC's; lets say 50-80% every other day. I cannot recommend that much water from your tap cause I don't know your water chemistry and could be more harmful.

I clean the substrate 1x week. I just went and bought Tetra Lifeguard and just now did a complete filter clean. I am running a Fluval 407. I’m going to try the Lifeguard because I know longer know what else to do.
