Pink tail chalaceus and leporinus with discus
I saw few leporinus and chalacaeus in a lfs. Are they alright to keep with discus

I would not think so. Leporinus are mostly herbivores and larger ones can be aggressive. Chalacaeus are aggressive. I would think they would be ok with other large cichlids such as severums and geophagus.

Thanks guess chalaceus could be kept with mud eaters but not discus

I see on you-tube that folks keep different species with discus, but their tanks aren't as big as the Amazon River. Sometimes species only tanks are more interesting and sometimes better off. The fish interact with each better; they all have the same language, so to speak.
