I have never seen such a gorgeous bird. It's my favorite, too.

Pat , reddish egrets are one of my favorites too. Unfortunately its one of the few egrets we dont even occassionally see in Ct.

We get great blue herons, great egrets, snowy egrets, green herons, little blues herons, night herons... once in a blue moon a tricolored which would be rare... and I have occassionally seen cattle egrets here.

I love watching the reddish egrets shade the water with their wings and fish.... and when they hit a school of them..the way they dance around...such a neat bird. Great shots!
