I hope they get your power restored soon. It gets expensive running a generator. We ran ours for a week after an ice storm thirty years ago. We and the fish survived as we had gas heat.
Big thorms came through and my power has been out for over 24 hrs. The outage is very wide spread and since I live in the sticks I'm sure I'll be among the last to power again. I have a generator large enough to run the Medo air pump that powers the whole fish room, the LED lights, my fridg, small deep freeze, a couple of reading lamps and 4 box fans. Aquarium heaters would be too much for it.
This morning I came down to the fish room to see number one pair pecking on the cone. I don't imagine that anything will come of it, but just may be the fish will give me a happy surprise.

I hope everything's ok Liz. Good thing you have that generator!
Sorry to hear Liz and hope the power comes back soon. Crossing fingers for you.

Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
Liz, Sorry hopefully the power will come on soon.
It came back yesterday afternoon. I have all but the longest heaviest contractor's cords rolled up neatly and put away. Life is back to my normal acceptable level of chaos. It was a trial, though. Those 40 lbs propane canasters are heavy for me!
I'm thinking that I might unplug the heater on my number 1 pair again, because the flirting has stopped. May be they liked being at 79 degrees.
