Liz, it might be your water, was this twitching after a water change or it could the flukes.

It's only the male if my best breeding pair whose doing it. It has been going on for quite a while. He eats like a pig and big black healthy Discus poo. He doesn't flash against objects, but it doesn't look like flirting twitching. It's the back of his dorsal and anal and tail, and therefore the rear of body twitches. I've been wondering if it could be body flukes. I'm considering doing a PP bath on both him and his lady. Thoughts anyone?

It was during the day any time he felt like it he twitched. My water is aged. The parameter's are exactly the same as the water in the tank. Since nobody answered until you did now, I started a PP treatment an hour ago. I got the the tank, the cone, the air line and heater and it's cord clean and did an almost flopping on the bottom water change, then added back clean water. I removed the sponge even though I understand it's not necessary and increased the air. The timer is set for 4 hrs. If this does them good, I may treat the other pairs as well.

Liz did you experience fry loses when this male last had fry? Usually if parasites are Bad enough to cause discomfort to an adult discus they kill fry.

No, I did not. I don't think that any of the buyers did either. But that was a while back and there was no strange twitching going on. It is possible why my pairs haven't spawned since then.

Could it be some sort of communication?
God is the artist, he merely allows me to see and capture his work . http://davesphotography7055.zenfolio.com/ coupon code: angelfish
some of my work accepted by Pentax (the camera bodies I use): http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/davidgray
It didn't look like fish to fish communication. He could have been telling me that he needed for me to help him.

I was wondering what the outcome here was?
He was fine after treatment.

Liz what did you treat him with?
I know that it has fallen out of favor here, but I used PP.
