Brought two stunning discus home, one is a definite striated blue turk but this other one has me stumped. My best guess is a turk lepoard hybrid. I've never heard of a 'blue spotted' lepoard - it's always blue base red/orange spot. Any ideas? There was a school of ten 3.5 to 4" at my LPS, I may even get more before they up the price. Would you add this fish to your tank? I'm curious!
They're beautiful! Welcome to SD Pikenzie.

Hi Pikenzie, I think the fish in the second photo is another blue turk showing an incomplete pattern. You will find at the fish grow the pattern will fill in. Congrats on the discus and welcome to SD.

Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
Ah! I can imagine the dots connecting now. Discus growth is definitely fascinating. There is a blue/red turk a quarter inch smaller with nearly full base color in the same tank. Going to post about my Tefe turk soon! Done an amazing color change over the past year.
