Nice let me know when he wakes up.
It was my stupid male and the new wife I gave him. I'm afraid that after a long break with no breeding going on, he got stupid again. I looked at those eggs yesterday, decided that they weren't fertile, then saw black dots in some, and finally decided that I was seeing things. This morning I have all of 10 wigglers. He must have made one half hearted run. I don't expect the pair to raise so few, but next time I think Mr. Stupid will regain his brains and do better.

Is this my favorite pair?
Sorry, our pair is still being headstrong. Since I switched wives I'm pretty sure that Karen would like them, too. The male was always nice, with a good full pattern. His new wife has rounded out well as she has matured and also has a nice pattern, with a somewhat thicker striations than most of my fish. I'll try for a pic if you like. BTW, they're still in love with their 10 (now 11) wigglers. Who knows what will happen when they free swim. Attachment is easier if a pair has to deal with a huge fry insurrection.

Good luck Liz!!
A picture would be great.
Liz, Congrats, you might have a show Discus out of the 11.
I'd need a few 4 leaf clovers plus hormones. I'm over show fish except to look at them and admire them. It's the same as dog shows. Anything is fair if you can get away with it. Both are a dirty business, but I can't help myself. I love to see them and evaluate them. But what you have to put the fish through to turn it in to a show fish take away all the breeding value from it because the poor thing won't live long enough to reproduce.

Never had an interest in raising or buying a show fish... Im just happy keeping, breeding, and enjoying my healthy fish. I can recognize the beauty of a show fish but I dont feel I am missing anything in the hobby with what I keep. If anything I have gotten more out of my hobby . Show animals really do little for me other than that momentary"wow". LIZ your fish maynot be showfish but you can be proud enough to show them off publically as they are darn good discus raised by you au natural.

That's very kind of you to say, Al. I'm a harder critic of my own fish as I am as any other fish.
At any rate, there won't be any show prospects from the 11. There's all gone this morning. I took out the old cone and put in a new one and the parents are staring at it doing shimmering and other foreplay. It won't be long until they spawn again.
Greg, I went to take pics yesterday. I got a good one of the lady fish then my camera battery ran out. I put it in the charger and then forgot about it. I'll get back on it in a minute.
