Beautiful fish and a superb hormone job on all. If I'd have been a judge I would have selected the fish in the 3rd pic as grand champion. What are y'alls opinions?

If we were judging together we'd have to talk about that choice. It's between the 2 of them, for sure. I'm partial to fine lined snake skins so I may have made my choice due to it being the type I prefer. What I have against your fish, which in the pic seems better balanced over all, is that the blue isn't solid blue. It has little red specks in it. Thanks to the hormones, no doubt. Mine has the smaller eye which is nice. I love evaluating fish. But I'm like that with dogs, goats, and really, just about everything. It may be a blessing or it may be a curse.

I’m all in on the fifth one. Really like the last 2 but as Liz said i too believe there’s more hormones than red involved.
Lol.. ok LizI will bite.the fish you picked is drop dead beautiful.. they all are .. Not real keen on your choices stress bars and the forehead transition isnt as smooth as some of the other entries.... theres a pronounced pushed in area on the forehead in front of the eyes.. certainly not enough to really down grade it but if splitting hairs, thats one weak point.
Lol.. I'm really not keen on this stuff.. more of a "my gut Reaction " rating system for me.![]()

The angle of the photograph made me not even consider the 5th. I love the pattern, but if I'm to go by just 1 pic, I need it to be a profile.
