Thanks - it passed about 30 min ago. Hopefully the treatment clears the tank. Fingers crossed the rest make it.

Well... one week into the Polyguard medication and I lost two more discus this morning. The others in my system aren't fairing much better. All have developed white splotches and deteriorating fins/tails, except for maybe two fish. Whatever this is has invaded 3 of my tanks, I'm assuming it is from cross contamination before the issue was seen of course. Ironically, it is only the discus I have that it is affecting. I house 3 tanks of angelfish fry, with no issues. And 3 other tanks with angels, corys, and tetras. All are healthy.

Per the Polyguard instruction, the course is 2 weeks long. Any advice as far as that goes? Run the full two weeks and assess for a switch to API Ich Powder? How long in between medications should I wait?

Just to be sure. You havent seen any improvement in the fish in the original tank after treating them for a week with polyguard? Were the losses from the original tank or more recently infected tank?

One from another tank and one from the original. The original tank has gotten worse. No improvement.
