Good pics, Al, but to me people are a snore compared to bugs, plants and birds.
I really have never gotten into street photography much until this year, and honestly would rather be taking pictures of birds, plants, and bugs than people. At least thats what I always thought, but then I realized that people are just plain interesting to watch sometimes and they do things that just beg to be captured by the camera so I decided, hey if theres no good wildlife around what are the people doing?
Had a few interesting shots this last camping Trip I thought I would share..

Nice ones Al. I too am not a big people photographer and also find them a bit boring or often too fake to shoot (A mountain will never show you anything but what it is!). Honestly I've always felt a bit awkward taking my camera to the beach, especially if it has the 100-400 lens on it. Like I promise i'm not trying to creep folks just trying to get some interesting shots, which I have in the past. It's a weird sensation because you know everyone else has phones with cameras anyway, but theres something about a bigger DSLR type that just makes it a bit awkward or people looking at you a bit different which then could effect reactions in the photos. Have y'all ever experienced the same? Just ignore and shoot?

Matt,
Thats one of my biggest fears when taking pics of humanoids. unlike birds humanoids can get really unpredictable when they see a photographer taking their picture. Never know what that critter will do...sometimes they smile and pose.. sometimes I think they want call 911 by the looks they give. I make it a point when photographing them to do it as casually as I can. I want candid shots not poses. ..
Whats funny is i have never been one to care about movable camera screens and EVF because most pentax lack them .. but since shooting nikon I have found the screen on the d500 and d7500 to be awesome for people shots with a long lens.
I dont use the rear lcd for anything else really.

That's actually a good point, i've never had an articulating screen on a camera until now. Could come in handy.

Al, you are changing my mind about pictures of people being a snore. Some of those shots invoke many possible stories.
