Unusual summer Visitor!

The CT Coastline (Long Island Sound) is a frequent hang out spot for Seals in the Winter. Summer Visitors are not common at all. Saw this fellow towards sunset just after a rainstorm at Hammonasset Beach State Park . He swam up close as we walked the beach. Hung around a bit as and watched us with those intelligent eyes...Reminds me of a puppy dog.

Think because of warmer waters all sorts of odd things are showing up. By me we’ve had daily shark sighting. Today whales! And over the weekend the news was showing a pic of about 100 rays outside of fire island inlet!

Yes it is! A few weeks back we had sharks circling a big school of bunker. Somebody’s drone photo showed 2 hugebluefin tuna patrolling The edges.
