Default Can I put her back..................?

This might end up being a long story, but this is my main concern. I've grown this red melon out to almost 5", I tried to sell her but before I could she went on a hunger strike. Granted she was the last fish of my collection , I thought for sure she was going to croak. Well, I ignored her for the longest time until I got my new fish from Chicago Discus. I needed the space she was in so I decided to try and save her, so I put her in my QT tank and started a metro remedy. Well, she's back to eating but she has a half cloudy eye that I'm trying to fix but it just stay's the same! She is still in the QT tank and doing the same regime of metronidazole 1gram, or 2 500mg per 10 gallons for the last thirteen days, as I said she's eating but it's the eye that concern's me. So could I put her back with my new group or try and attack the eye problem aggressively. If the eye is a water problem would it clear up by it's self with the new water regime, or what else can I do where she's at right now in QT? Jim in Ohio PICTURES

I'm changing 95% of my 10 gallons, Temp. 90 degrees and 1 gram of metro every day.

Any answer to this reply. She appears to be gradually returning to her old self, my concern is if the eye returns with her? She has never been with this group of discus, what should I expect? Jim in Ohio

That is very much possible, she was the only one I had left at the time. Now, that she is back to eating but the eye has never come back. It seems to be clearing up some everyday, I just feel leery about adding her to the mix with a cloudy eye.

If its cloudy from a pH crash/burn it can take a long time to heal Jim. I'd be patient for now... Just clean water at this point and waiting to see if it heals further and the appetite stays. I would not risk adding her to your new Fish from Chicago....they are way too nice looking to risk, IMO.
