While out at the park today I witnessed the most massive gathering of tree swallows I have ever seen.. They were everywhere fueling up and resting up.. mass gatherings like this are called murmurations. Everyone was stunned by sheer numbers of swallows... Using a telephoto lens as I had and you get a slight feel of how many .. For every bird you see in these pictures , there are hundreds more around me.
