Carophyll Pink Saturation. How long should I dose?

Hi guys,

I've been using Carophyll Pink in my stock for the last week and was wondering if there are problems in continued use. How long should I dose? I've been told some fish's eye can become red if you overfeed fish with that.

Hi Antonio,
It really depends on how much you are using. Like most things too much of a good thing can turn into a bad thing. Even beneficial things like pigments. There is research out there on optimal levels of pigments to add to food..Im not familiar with them off the top of my head.

I would say if you have reached you targeton their color.. back off on the pigments. Discus store their orange and red pigment in special cells like other fish... theres only so much they can store after that its likely to get into other tissues...at least that my understanding.
