    Default Wiire cage

I have a young pair, a bt and a ss originally from Liz. They are about 14 mts. old and have been laying
eggs weekly for about a month. The female is definitely an egg eater Tomorrow I'm going to put them
In there own 40 with a flower pot so hopefully they will lay on that.
So question, how far away from the pot in inches should the wire cage be and the pair still be able to
tend to them and not eat the eggs?

Mine is the exact same size as the base of the cone. My spotted pair are such good parents that they don't require a screen but I have a PB pair that does. The female actually swam through the top and ate the eggs so in the future I'll shrink the top and make the screen conform to the shape of the cone, or just cover the top.
