Looks like you're getting the hang of taking pictures and the couple looks lovely. I find it very satisfying how uniform the pattern is on the momma - does the dad have the same pattern? If so, I'm even more excited to see how these kids grow up!

Yes, the pattern is very similar. They are father and daughter.

Although the pic does show mom's pattern well, I really shouldn't have posted such a poor pic of her. She looks heavy in the head area in the pic, she's a very well balanced fish in reality. I'll try to do better today on pics of both.

Thank god it finally got there!

I would suggest taking it out in the yard and practicing in good light... I can easily walk you through anything you don't understand. Its a great camera to move up from the d80. Its renders colors beautifully.

thanks for your concern, Francis, It was a bummer. I'm glad it has passed. It left me 6 lbs lighter. I also discovered that I'd 1 shrunk yet another 1 1/2" since my height was last measured. In total, I've lost 3 full inches since my spine started falling apart on me. Whoever would have thought that the fearless fighter, Liz Streithorst, could be considered "spineless".

You know, Al. The yogurt maker I purchased today just arrived, and I've had a hankering for pot roast (I think I'll try the liquidless method). In lieu of cleaning house which is filthy after being too sick to clean, or playing with my new camera, I may drive to town and pick up what I need for both. It's time for a beer run, anyway. Of course, to cook, I'll have at least to get the kitchen in order.
