Sterbai Cory dying in quarantine

Good morning everyone,

I think cories are over the hump, I did not find any dead one yesterday and for the first time I saw them swimming and schooling in the QT tank.


Here comes the weird part, I did absolutely nothing other than raise temp to 80F during the day on Monday. Because I was frustrated and thought they would died regardless, I did not make any water changes on Monday night. Just added prime and vacuum the bottom. All day yesterday, they looked better. So, it is a mystery for me. I received water testing supplies last night, I will check No2 and NH4 sometime this morning to rule that out.

I hope this is the end of the story, I lost 9 out of the 16 (bummer). So….. I have a big display tank, need to order a new batch. Any recommendations on where to purchase about a dozen more? Just asking because Aquahuna stocked out.

I would wait a few weeks...keep an eye on this batch right now and be sure they are healthy.

Thanks Al, I 100% agree…. I was thinking down the road after I get this batch out of QT. Besides, Thx Giving is around the corner, it is the WORST time of the year to order fish online…. Lost packages, transit delays. You are better off ordering in Jan / Feb, even with colder weather.
