    Default color change

Is the female the only one of a potential pair that darkens?
I have a really strange situation, I moved a pretty sure pair to there own 40 from the 75.
The 3 left , 1 bt and 2 ss, all seem to be in a love fest. ! minute the bt is dark and cleaning
the air lift pipe ,while the other 2 ss are doing the same on the other end the tank.
Suddenly the female[?] will come over and seem friendly with the bt. Then the ss[sex?] will come over
and fight with the bt and both ss will go back to there end of the tank and start acting like there ready to spawn.
I know this is a confusing description but what do you all think. What the hell is going on?

Sounds like you have 2 females and a male... theres a male and female snakeskin and theres a female turq. Both females want to spawn but theres only one male.. He is interested in both and seeing their cues... but the snakekin pair sounds more likely to happen.

Thats at least what I think if I understand your description Jay.

That's what I was thinking. Should I remove the bt? and they would more likely to spawn?
    Thanks for your reply

Jay I would leave it.. the pair will form a better relationship if they have a common enemy.. and that tank is more than big enough.
