    Default Adopted pigeon pair

Saturday I adopted some discus from a friend. In the group there was a pair of pigeon. Spawned today in Qt.

Doubtful how many eggs if any will hatch as it im my tap and I know nothing on if this pair will be successful in tap. Still.its kind of cool. I haven't had pigeon bloods in ages here and these are really nice fish.

Lol.. How do they fit it in?. I guess they help me deal with my disease condition. DAS.

    Discus Aquisition Syndrome.

Seriously though I really hadnt planned on breeding any of these adoptees initially but was just going to enjoy them in a display tank. HOWEVER, I am weak in my convictions when it comes to discus. My breeding program as a result just expanded..lol.

    Does that surprise anyone here?

It makes it worse…. You going to start a new line of Pigeons before you realize it. Just need to wait a bit for the bug to bite you when they fry goes free swimming.

Honestly, I'd have been more surprised if you witnessed a pair spawn so quickly after being transported and NOT add them to the breeding program lol.

    “DAS” right mate!
Very nice acquisition. They are nice looking clean pigeons, no peppering! Lovely discus. Would you call the one with the large white spots a red panda or red eagle? Or do you steer away from trade names and stick with pigeon blood as their descriptor?

I do really hate trade names, but I believe the red one here is a "red eagle" as it came from Ping/Forrest.

    Thanks guys..
I hadnt expected much from the eggs but these two have been intently tending them. Looks like maybe 20 fertile with eye spots. Its a real good sign given the circumstances and my tap water.
