Under normal circumstances I get hatch rates of about 30-40% in my tap.. being on a well and having had well issues and having as many tanks as I do.. RO would be a real risk so I only use it if I really really want a spawn from a particular pair. Usually 30-40 % hatchrates are still a good number of fry ..more than enough for my purposes.

This pigeon pair has really grown on me.

They laid eggs again last night but since they are still in Qt I really don't want them raising fry. So I pulled the cone and have it in a RO water to see how many hatch out. If its only a few I will not bother but if its a good spawn I will either try fostering them or go artificial.

What do you expect in terms of color and pattern since you have a white PB with scribbles & a red PB with blotches? My wife loves domestic red discus, so maybe down the road here……

Honestly I have no clue.yet. I have not bred as many pigeons as non-pbs so Im not sure what would happen. Will I get a blending of the two traits or some that look like one or the other? Thats one reason why I like breeding discus and no hangups about crossing strains and color forms. Its the only way to learn the answers first hand.
