Online discus breeders

[Discus Fever]

I was surfing the internet the other night and I was curious if anyone had ordered discus from any of the online breeders and what was your experience? Was the quality good or bad? I am not talking about any of our sponsors just places like discus.com, Myrtle Beach Discus and places like that. I am not planning on ordering from any of those places I will be getting mine from Miranda but was curious if anyone has ever pulled the trigger on places like that.

So many fly by night sellers. I did buy from uncle sams in 19 and one is still alive. Read reviews! Stay far away from the first one mentioned and any that also sell regular fish. Many lfs are now selling online. Great pics but lfs discus.

I no longer keep discus but I had a great experience ordering form Myrtle Beach discus. Received some super high quality Altum Floras at a reasonable cost. I believe he imported them from Tan discus farm.

Definitely stay away from discus.con or his subsidiaries. He has no fish and no inventory. He accepts an order and fulfills it through any one of his cronies who happens to have something close in stock and has them drop shipped to the customer. The customer has no idea who the actual supplier is, so there is no support if an issue arises, such as advertising a proven Piwo pair and shipping a couple of old worn out females for $1200......
