Default Interview with a Heron Part 2

After my recent encounter with a Heron at my local park I revisited the area and came across another heron, for all that I know it could be the same one.I came upon it just as I entered the park, hopped out of my car and started taking pictures. It was early, I was probably one of few people even there in the park yet. The Heron was back lit which is really a pain to take pics in, but with patience you can and you can sometimes move a tad here and there to get better lighting. I think my friend the Heron was still waking up.. It reminded me of my cats when they find a sun patch. That sun light is key for them to warm up and be able to hunt in the cold water.

I took pics and he just stayed put. I waited for him to hunt... but nope.. he preened, and stayed put...

I waited so long, standing there my leg fell asleep! I was sure he would start hunting and I had a perfect vantage point for it..

and Off he flew! Lol. Oh well.

    Thanks Pat,Liz, and John!

Pat.. Im pretty sure he did not even notice me. I was there a long time. I think he just wasnt happy that it was high tide... harder to fish.

John, Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoy them. Its hard to know sonetimes and you start questioning yourself.." well I thought they were good, maybe they aren't?" So....much appreciated on the feedback.
