So I ordered some of Al's Discus Chow and Diskusgold pellets and it arrived yesterday. I have introduced it a couple times and so far no takers. Now with the FDBWs, chaos ensues lol

So I ordered new meds since I have been out of the discus game for a while and it's time to break out the gram scale for measuring the Praziquantel. According to Al's Quarantine method, the fish are eating really well, have normal poop and are always begging plus forming a peaking order. Now I need to find the dosage for Praziquantel!

Did you get pure Praziquantel powder? If so, I think I recall Al posting somewhere that it's 100mg per 10 gallons.

I did Jake, I rather not have meds with the fillers. I will check with Al .

Here's a four week update on these guys. You will see one of the RSGs is hanging towards the back of the tank. He does try to eat at least but is getting pushed out of the way. The rest of the group is doing great. Always hungry and pushing each other around.

I am thinking about doing a salt dip on the one hanging by itself. Thoughts? I could also fix up a separate tank in case the bullying gets too strong. I have not started in deworming meds so it not that.

They are all looking great except the one. I would setup a hospital tank and place it next to the group tank so they can still see each other. I don't believe I would do a salt bath on a stressed fish. Good luck Pat!

Advice from someone with zero fish!

What do expect the salt to do?

Agreed Kraig and I will setup a QT if needed. First I will try salt in the tank with the other fish and see if that helps as a first step and go from there.

Hi Gary, I will start with adding salt to the main tank with daily WCs as a first step. Too early for a salt dip which I think is used mostly for externals. Al and Brian are way better at medical protocol then I am.

So WC and salt added. All poop looks good. Perhaps I should create a post in the disease section and maybe order some metro since what I have metro wise is older then dirt.

I would. My first thought was that it's looked like they act when they have hex.

Agreed Liz and Brian suggested bumping the heat up a bit.
