    Default Dutch Rams spawn.

Picked up a couple of pairs of these Dutch Rams from Tristans Tropical awhile back. They have been very healthy and are just a great little fish. They have spawned a few time but this was the first time they did not eat or lose the fry to tankmates. Their parenting instincts are spot on.. God help the bristlenose that comes anyhere near their fry.

Hopefully they will continue to be good guardians until I remove the parents.

I've never known anyone who has tried that. I'm curious to see what you get.

Danny I do have a group of wild rams..10 that I have had a few months now . I havent photographed them in a while as they are super shy.. .. I had them in a densely wooded tank with amazon swords and rhey literally hid all day except to.bolt out for food. Ive since moved them to an open tank and they are coming around. I will take some pics as soon as I can.

You really do help fellow addicts. In addition to all the nice things you've done for me, just yesterday you sent me some free duckweed that I'll keep in my snail tanks and once it starts reproducing in earnest, I'll use in my homemade pork mix.

Al, starting a new project and seeing where it takes you is so much fun, and you learn so much along the way.

Sounds good Al! When you get the camera in front them tell them “smile for the pesky Aussie!” Lol.

You always document your projects so well also so I echo Liz’s compliment about the help you offer to other hobbyists!
