    Default Hard water

Hi, I am looking to purchase some stendker discus soon, and I was wondering if they would be able to survive in my tap water. I have a very ideal pH of 7, however my dGH is 17-20 (you could hammer nails with that water) and a Dakar of 10ish. Would this be okay? Thanks

    Is Stendker still breeding discus?
My Stendkers (from back when they were still breeding them in Germany) have been in my wildly hard, high pH water for two years and seem OK.
    My water is described here:

PH on strips and master kit ring in at 8.0-8.2.
