Port Cichlids...

I was at a petshop awhile back and saw a few of these fish in a tank on sale. They were feisty and I really took a liking to them.It was 100% impulse buy. I was never able to find out what species they are. I suspect they were wild Cichlasoma, But its a guess. So I took them home and they bred for me and bred for me and bred for me. I had so many I could not give them away! Cool fish to have though,

Looks like the classic Port, Cichlasoma portalegrense to me. The other possibility is C. bimaculatum -- the two species are often confused, but the caudal peduncle and tail pattern on your fish are associated with portalegrense.
