    Default Red Head Tapajos

I really Loved having Red Head Tapajos. They were such a great fish to breed. I am trying to remember but I believe I was gifted some F1 wilds from a friend and raised them up and bred them, They were the first Geos I Bred.

Red heads are hard to find by me. Geos in general are few and far between. Bought these threadfin acaras marked as geos.IMG_9791.jpgIMG_9793.jpg. Nice fish no plan on breeding. Think there both males.

Tom I had a tank of wild threadfins here ... they were beautiful fish. I used to keep them with my festivums. I will have to dig up few pics. Had a couple of Altifrons too that were stunning fish. Your threadfins are nice lookin fishes!

Always loved Geos and the Red Heads, the only one i've kept was Geophagus parnaibae that I got from Ryan here years ago when he bred them. For sure a type of fish I will revisit sometime, so much fun to watch them sift the sand. I wish i didn't resize my old photos, a bit small but great fish.

Had some redheads I got from a tank I bought used. After about a week of having them there was a pair that bred for me. Was really fun watching them until after the parents decided to let them out of there mouths. Sadly I inherited about a dozen clown loaches as well, they moved in and devoured the fry in about 30 seconds. Got rid of the loaches asap. Then the redheads started out competing my discus for food and making them nervous. Wanted to keep the breeding pair of them but lost track of them when I was bagging the ones to get rid of so I ended up getting rid of them as well. Some day I might get some more but they kind of drove me insane always rearranging the substrate.
