Discus I have known....

I'm just astounded by how good all your discus look, even throughout all the years of you keeping them. Just goes to show how the simple things like good husbandry, water changes, etc can go a long way to making great fish.

One day, I hope to be able to get to experience owning a bunch of them for many years, just like you have Al. Thanks for sharing!

Yep..case study in fish addictions Theres many many many more pics to come. Funny , They span decades but I seriously remember all of these fish. Crazy I know.

Thanks Mark. They are just snapshots of the various discus I have owned, bred, etc. Its kind of fun to look back on old photos like this of the various fish we keep. There is a down side to it though. I really want to see some of these swimming in my tanks again now!

Al, I've been around here like forever but seeing all the beautiful fish you've had in your fish room, did you ever breed that colony of heckel's you showed here?????? jim in Ohio

Jim thank you! As for Heckels, they have eluded me. I have not been able to breed them yet. Its a dream of mine though. I have had onebheckel male x domestic female that produced a handful of fry.

The male came from a friend of mine whom I adopted from. That had to have been about 17 rears ago. None of the fry survived.

I will try again one day. Gotta save the best for last.
