Eheim pro vac

Hi folks- I just bought an Eheim pro vac- the plan was to daily vacuum the waste from the tank in between water changes. After the first time of using my Discus were very frightened. Now I’m worried about using it. Is this something people have experienced? Do they get used to it- I mean it must have been a bit odd for them. I have a 200L tank, 2 filter units, Fluval 106 filter and the internal Jewel filter- 5 small (3”) discus, they are doing well all hand feeding and not normally timid. Weekly 50% water change - water quality good. Nitrates less than 10ppm.

Dominic I think they will get used to it. Its natural for disturbances to freak out discus especially smaller ones.

Just try to be slow and deliberate in your movements.

Mine tolerate it fine after some initial skittishness

Not sure if they make it better or not because I never bothered to even use it without the mods but something to think about
