Well, not really Beth but I spent about 5 months working at Grand Isle so I have definately been in your neck of the woods. We also lived in Baton Rouge for about a year and a half. That was back in the early 80's. And I'm closer to you than I am to Orlando!

Hi Beth...just getting around to going through the board
again. Don't forget about me up here in Baton Rouge. I can't believe there are not more discus people here in the deep South. I used to work on a charter boat at Grand Isle for a couple of summers. Now have a camp south of Houma to chase the specks and reds.
Let me know what's going on in the NO area.

Hi Beth...just back from the camp. North wind drained all the water
from the canals and swamps. Caught fish Sat morning in front of the
    front but nothing after noon.
Some of my fish are not feeling too good just now. Fins with holes and
ragged edges and splotches on the bodies. Treating now with mega salt
and 90deg. Dave C's fish sorta resimbled what my four looked like so treating
likewise. Daughter has digital camera so no pictures to show anyone. I
think they may be a little better...been in mega salt 7 days. I was going to
    start water changes today.

Let you know how I come out.

Hi Al...yea, work has been killing me. I work for Shell Chemical and retirements at our plant came in a big batch that the management did
not plan far enough in advance. Super short handed and you don't train
someone to run a unit is a couple of day. Takes almost 18 months if they
    are sharp.
Some of my fish doing great....4 under the weather. Working on them and
I think they are getting a little better.
I will be keeping up with the forum more for now and glad to be back.
