Default Will it be possible to breed when there are other fish around in the tank

    ???Hi,

I am new for this forum, I have a 120cm*45am*50cm tank
with 12 grown discus and 6 blood parrot fish. They will kept together when they were small. Now they are all adult fish. Should separate the two different species away with each other? I really want to breed them. Could someone answer me. Thanks!

you won't successfully breed discus unless the pair are the only fish in the tank, otherwise the fry will get eaten. I don't know about the parrot fish though.

good luck. The general consensus on tank size for breeding is around 20-29 gallons.
