Great looking fish do you have any melons for sale?

Re:Some of my breed
Nice fish, all of them. What size tank are the Snow Red Discus in? How many fish? What kind of filtration and what size water changes. Just curious about the stocking density you work with.

John,
I'll describe your fish in just three letters.. WOW!
I like the Red Melons the best as well. I would be interested in acquiring a couple.

Thanks and thanks gals for your compliments. Those Red white actually looks bigger when photographed. Actual size is around 2.5 inches but the fish has high finnage and slight double chin and that why it looks bigger. I recently ship a large shipment to Paris including some Melon, about USD 200 each 5 inch fish. Sorry I could not declose actual price.
I am keeping around 12 best one for breeding and should have fries sometime in febuary.
I hope someday I will ship some of my fish to US.
Thanks again and God Bless.

Re:Some of my breed
I am not very sure some people classified this kind of white, yellow or brown face solid red Discus differently. Like San merah, Red doll, Red passion or Red Melon. But for sure they are derive from marlboro red and virgin red. But in order to reach its present state, it will go through several generation (many years) and depending on how the individual breeder cross it with.
My opinion of Red Melon it should be double chin, high finnage and the redness should protude from the gill cover all the way to the dorsal fin without breaking and should not have anal fin lineage. The best grade should not have Black perppering on the face, dorsal and body. The redness should be evenly covering the whole body.
For it still carry it 's pigeon genes, I would advise it should not be expose to Sunlight directly or in directly, flourescent lights, planted tank, stress and frequent water change. I used a 5 watt light blub for all my tank. For I feel that Discus prefer dim lights and too bright will stress them.
