erm . . . sounds like a tidal wave in the tank to me. Be sure to buy something to regulate flow into tank ;D

Can you control the flow without damaging the pump?

if the quality of those pumps reflects the quality of everything else they sell, 30 dollars is probably too much.

when i started my business, i ordered a few things from them trying to save a little money. to make a long story short i now buy quality equipment at the price it takes to get it knowing that when i need it, it will do the job.

    p.s

most of the stuff there is cheap taiwan ripoffs of better designs.

well, thirty bucks is worth a try to me!! i have to pump water from basement to main floor..100 gallons every other day, i'll give it a try...besides, i've know people to buy some tools through there and they're fine

i got a transfer punch set from them and it works fine but came with a useless storage case.

make your own choice, i already ordered mine ;D

can't say i every gave a bilge much thought. mostly because i need a good flowrate at 14 feet of head height, like400-500 gph at that height! so basically i need a pump that can do 25+ feet head.

i'll let you all know what i think but they are a clearance warehouse that buys left over/sometimes discontinued stock and dumps it cheap.

they may not last as long as others but for the price you could buy 4 of these to 1 good one. if you got the cash you may want to buy the good one up front with lifetime warrenty like tyler has or if your broke and trying to buy good fish and more tanks than you may want to scrounge for now and get the cheapy.

Hey 4 for 1 is sensible to me!

kind of like pillows, my wife wanted to buy 2 dunlop pillows that are AU $100 a pop (top quality, last you years) but then you can buy a good tontine for AU$30 so I decided we should get 3 tontines over 5-10 years or whatever as apposed to 1 dunlop over 10 years. Very sensible I'd say!

I received my pump that limige and I ordered. Just want you all to know it's wonderful. I have a 125 that refills in about 10 minutes. It's great. It use to take me about 2 hours to do all my water changes, now only about 1 hour total. Quality is good enough for me, I use Rio 2500 also for water changes and would say they are compareable quality. All I know is I have more time now to be on Simply Discus. ;D ;D

i also got mine last week but haven't had time to do plumbing yet.

right now i have 8 2x4x10's and 8 10' 1" pvc's and 8 10' 3/4 pvc with alot of elbows ect. haven't had time to build racks and plumb yet.

keep debating about what size tanks to use as well.

anyway, we'll see how it works, price was right for me, if it last a year or two that's cool.

    later,
    mike
