    Default leech or parisite

    What the h!!!! is this little creature that came in with my live blk worm from the local fish shop
    Please advise
    Ken
    Colour is clearish and light green on back
    Will send another photo be hind this one

    Its a leech. Its relatively harmless--unless you are a blackworm. There are many species of leeches. Odds are thats one that preys on blackworms.

    Many peopel who get blackworms.... also find leeches in with them. My discus eat them pretty much like the blackworms!

    Yep, that's what it is. Does your fish store rinse the black worms daily? That is really important!

    Are they harmful to the fish? I think I have a few in my batches, but mine are clean and white (ie. dead)

    Hi chong,
    They should be relatively harmless. I have seen my fish eat them many times and they never have a problem. Theres always the chance that feeding something alive will introduce a pathogen, but it probably remote.
