Discus Pair Spawning, possible ich on fins???
Hey Guys,
Bit in a pickle here,
I just noticed this afternoon that my spawning pair's fins have what seems to be white dots on them.. Possible ich? Not sure what to do cause if there is fry soon i don't want to dose the tanks with meds.. The temp is at 30 degrees, and also will be gone the next 3 days...
Heres are a few shots, you can see the specs on the fins...
shot 1
shot 2
shot 3
Tips on what i should do? Treat the tank with meds?

@ rdiscus I do daily 50% water changes since the Fish have been in the tank. Also being away for 3 days, i wont be able to change the water

I dont know what the big boys in this forum would say about methylene blue but thats egg safe and protects the eggs even from fungus but colors everything blue lol and can be bad for your bio filter in high doses

Like mentioned above those white dots usually come about with less than ideal water conditions. Up the water changes and they will go away.

Good advice, nothing beats changing water often.

I think those are called "Bacteria Granules". I had them once when I was unable to do enough water changes. They were cured in 1-3 days with water changes.
